Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME)
(BME was founded in 1782 and nowadays the largest technical university in Hungary. More than 1300 professors, researchers and numerous invited expert specialists participate in education and research within the structure of eight faculties. BME is currently attended by more than 24,000 students. Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (VIK) is the most important centre of the Hungarian informatics education, research and development. The departments of the Faculty play an active part in R&D programs and they are considerably involved in international projects as well as they have established close contacts with the industry worldwide.
BME Technology and Knowledge Transfer Office (MTTI) facilitates the transfer of research results achieved at BME to industry or into business, and disseminates innovation and entrepreneurial culture among the citizens of BME. The university’s Innovation Lab which is hosting DEMOLA-Budapest open innovation platform is also coordinated by MTTI.)
