The vision of [KTU] is to proactive promotion and management of research, transfer and innovation.



The values of [KTU] are:

1. Networking and team working
Networking is all about creating community. Team roles may be described differently, but time and again the same basic descriptions are provided of individuals who comprise any team. In networking, utilizing combined strengths to overcome individual weaknesses is a definite way to grow. Cherish differences. Revel in ideas and unique concepts. Appreciate cautiousness. Look for experience and specific skills to "make it happen." See value in questions and attention to detail. Understand the need for over-all objectivity.

2. Professionalism
Pay attention to the cultural norms in your organization, and follow them. Be pleasant and polite to people. Take work seriously. Realize that getting feedback on your work – even critical feedback – is part of the job. Speak up when work isn't getting done on time or when there are problems with a project. Need to write and speak clearly and professionally. Be flexible. Show up reliably. Don't treat your manager as your adversary. Be helpful, and do more than solely what's in your job description.

3. Diversity of competences and skills among the staff
Diversity is an essential component of any institution. It is more than a moral imperative; it is a global necessity. Everyone can benefit from diversity, and diverse of competences and skills need to be supported so staff can reach its full potential for themselves and the society. Every KTU members are open to change, new ideas and global perspectives.

4. Personalized attitude to the stakeholders
KTU is a results-orientated, structured planning and implementation tool that takes all the demands and requirements of a stakeholder collaboration process into account and ensuring effective implementation.

5. Orientation towards client and user satisfaction
Developing a quality product appreciate by consumers; responding promptly and respectfully to consumer complaints and queries; and dealing sensitively with community issues.


Organisation and staffing
The KTU will be the focal point of the knowledge transfer network within KSMA.

The KTU integrates the existing structures of KSMA by cooperating and networking with departments which conduct some functions in respect to knowledge transfer at KSMA.

The following units already exist at KSMA and will partially participate in knowledge transfer:

  • International Department (hereafter ID),
  • Research Support Sector (hereafter RSS),
  • Department of Intellectual Property (hereinafter DIP),
  • Students and Graduates Employment Support Department (hereinafter ESD),
  • Faculty of Economics of Transport.

Staff members will:

  • provide market analyses for scientific researches, determine the customer’s needs and the existing competition trends;
  • perform research planning keeping in mind not only the subject of research but also the customer’s needs, market demand and research expenses;
  • support research (KTU staff members will support the researchers to determine the research price, the necessary experimental and test basis, who may be the customers and how to distribute it);
  • provide valuable information to researches about the needs of industry and business to secure the intellectual assets resulting from research at KSMA;
  • determine and evaluate R&D results;
  • promote commercial utilization to researches at KSMA.
